Peppermint Essential Oil
Peppermint Essential Oil
Prized since ancient times in Japan, China, and Egypt, peppermint oil is extracted from the fresh or semi-dried leaves and flowers of the herb. With its invigorating, minty, herbaceous aroma and cooling top note, it is rich in menthol, making it refreshing, decongesting, and stimulating. In aromatherapy, peppermint oil helps relieve headaches, nausea, and mental fatigue, while in massage it eases muscular pain, digestive discomfort, and PMT symptoms. It can also soothe sunburn and insect bites. Blending well with oils such as lavender, eucalyptus, and rosemary, peppermint is a versatile addition to any collection. Use sparingly and always dilute before application.
